The Scene:
Music News
Our first and most definitive project will be released by April 2008 and you will
hear about this in due course. The industry has been in the doldrums for some
time without any positive way of making someone buy records that can be freely
downloaded without buying the music or product. Even EMI is being sold off - and
that's an institution when it comes to record companies. The download brigade
storms on (iTunes etcetera) and they make money, but you and some the record
companies make an awful lot less than of 'olden' times even just a few years
ago. There has to be another way, and although we're sure we will be copied ad
infinitum - remember, when our marketing touches down, we were the first
and the innovator of this new way of developing sales. And hey, sales is what
it's all about - you will NEVER be wealthy from a pittance payment for your work
- and no matter how you look at it 25 cents IS a pittance.
Band News: Mckenzie - Bruce New Album - Berner Street 2008
The Mckenzie - Bruce 'Berner Street' Album is now on sale. This album has been
developed over two years and is unique in the Music CD Marketplace worldwide -
you can win $10,000 (or £5000.00) by simply listening to the music, solving the
puzzle and entering your solution to the contest at
www.checkifiwon.com
Yes that's right, imagine buying a CD (remember when you did that?) and
listening over and over to the great music from Mckenzie - Bruce, two guys who
have been playing for years. The music is awesome, but you can solve a puzzle
from the words of the songs and win that lovely money!
The contest is NOT open to buyers who DOWNLOAD the Berner Street CD from
iTunes or other download sites - it's a different version. But if you buy the
real one then you can enter to win - and the contest is open to everyone who
meets the Terms & Conditions of the contest (age etc) so you have exactly the
same chance of winning as anyone else... even the experts!
Visit www.bernerstreet.com now and
see what this is all about - or go to our sample page for Berner Street to get a
feel for the real CD contents, but remember - to enter you NEED the physical CD.
You CAN get a free entry number from the site, but you would have to be super
humanly clever to win without the CD.
More Industry News
iTunes has finally woken up to the fact that European users don't want to pay a
premium because they are in Europe! We could have told them that a long time
ago.... but maybe that's just it - maybe they already knew and just wanted to
overcharge users in Europe... We have a sneaky feeling that could be the case,
but we have no proof. Either way, we bet the artists were not he ones who gained
from the whole overcharge to the Europeans... but hey, Europeans have been and
are being overcharged every day for items which in other countries cost as
little as half the European price.A good example is musical equipment. THD is a
good example and so is Eventide, Fender, Gibson, and so on, but we guess you get
the picture.....
